“The Tri-Ethnic Center for Prevention Research” (PI, Oetting, E.R.; NIDA; $4,818,674).
TEC was the recipient of a Center grant from NIDA beginning in 1990. ThIs initial five-year grant was renewed for two additional competitive re-submissions that continued until 11/30/04. The Tri-Ethnic Center for Prevention Research was designed to be a national resource for both basic and applied research on the prevention of drug use and deviance, particularly for minority populations. The parent grant consisted of a core, five center projects, and collaborative research with investigators in other locations.
